Staff San Francisco Business Times Apple Inc. is building a solar farm to power its data center in Reno, Nev., Reuters reports. The company will work with NV Energy Inc. to build the facility, which will provide power to Sierra Pacific Power Co. Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) currently runs its largest data center, in Maiden, N.C., on power from a solar farm and fuel cell installations provided by the Sunnyvale-based startup Bloom Energy.
